In Santiago the people run for their jobs, for go to the university, etc, the city life is stress and the people don't have time for do exercise, go to jogging or other activity... so is possible have a really healthy lifestyle? The majority of the persons can say yes but the truth is if the persons have time they don't do exercises, the don’t go to run, jogging, etc they prefer go to see a movie, do a barbecued with friends, family or go to a party and the health activity is go away from their minds.
But exist a little group of persons who take conscience of their health, if you go at San Cristóbal in the weekends there exist a lot of people doing physical activity, up the hill in their bikes or walking, exist groups who doing recreational activities in some places like "spinning", etc!
If you think have a healthy lifestyle is possible, but is necessary changes in the conscience of people, the risk of a sedentary life is so known, hearts problems, obesity, diabetes, etc.
Doing periodic physical exercises better the cardiovascular system, help in the concentration, for relax of the daily routine, exist a lot of benefit! But I insist the people really don't worry for this, prefers other things and never find time for do additional activity.
How really changes this reality?
well first the risk of don't do activity is clear so now go out to do something, and start to changes ours eating habits. We know this is hard because is complicated have time for cooking or the health food is expensive, but is necessary.
The department of health public could do political changes in hours of jobs or give at workers tickets for go to the gym, you know if the worker feel good the work is more efficient.
All indicate the increase of bad habits like sedentary life, eat a lot of fast food, drink, smoking, etc and all contribute to bad style of life but is possible change only if the people really want ;)
